I’m Dawn Vander Stoep, and this is where creativity, connection, and the magic of soft pastel come to life.
Art has been my passion for over twenty years, but everything changed when I discovered PanPastel. It opened a door to new possibilities — a softer, more intuitive way of creating — and I haven’t looked back. Now I get to share that joy with a growing community through my artwork, online classes, and weekly livestreams.
In 2024, with a loving nudge from my family, I began livestreaming on YouTube. It was completely out of my comfort zone — and one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I found a beautiful rhythm in showing up each week, painting in real-time, and connecting with kind, creative souls from around the world. Helping others discover the joy of pastels has become just as meaningful as creating the work itself.
Today, I work full-time from my home studio in Milwaukie, Oregon (with my sweet dog Sunny always nearby), creating soft pastel paintings that honor the beauty of nature, spirit, and imagination. My art is collected internationally, and every piece is infused with intention, symbolism, and a sense of wonder.
